Chief Operating Officer
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a member of the management team, reporting to the CEO and responsible for driving the operational success of PlasticFri. The COO works closely with the founders to ensure a cost efficient, scalable way of working and manage areas such as human resources, logistics, strategic planning, budget, setting and measuring and reporting metrics, financial forecasts as well as building scalable processes, systems and tools required to scale the company.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish operational efficiency
- Establish structure for management team to work effectively, setting and driving meeting agendas, metrics, roles and responsibilities and mandates
- Establish processes, procedures and guidelines for PlasticFri to follow Governance best practices and ways of working
- Build and optimize internal processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and productivity, cost savings and scalability
- Define and monitor metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Identify, plan and implement, tools, resources and policies needed for the company to scale and lead implementation, communication and training to employees.
- Cascade company metrics to teams and communicate to ensure everybody knows their goals
- Manage financial processes including forecasting and budgeting until Financial Manager is in place
- Manage investor reporting, compile reports and metrics
- Building partnerships with key stakeholders
- Supply chain management & development
- Oversee customer journey from order placement to delivery
- Lead initiatives to scale operations, identify new market opportunities, and support company growth
- Manage the development and launch of new production sites
- Strategic work: Translate the company's strategic vision by making it into actionable plans, initiatives and metrics
Ideal Candidate
In order to succeed in the role, we believe that you have the following qualifications:
- At least 5+ years work experience from operational management roles in business operations, strategy & planning
- Additional work experience from VC backed scaleups, PE/VC or consulting firms with focus on operational roles are preferred
- Degree in business administration/engineering
- Have experience and was active in raising capital from externals including VC before
- Excellent analytical skills and a passion for number crunching
- Strategic mindset and commercial interest
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish and English
- Tech savvy and skilled in working with new tools and software and AI
- Great relationship skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at senior levels
